Happy 60th Birthday, UNICEF!
Yep, the United Nations Children's Fund was born on December 11th, 1946 (formerly known as the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, hence, UNICEF). This is one of my favorite charities (and the first one I ever donated to) -- I used to 'trick-or-treat for UNICEF' with my church when I was a boy. Check 'em out. Save the kids.
Today I'm going to do things a little differently. All of the links (aside from those above) are going to be of the same theme -- The Simpsons! Here are a bunch of terrific Simpsons-related sites that I have found:
The Simpsons Archive -- this site has EVERYTHING Simpsons. Episode 'capsules' give you more information about each episode than you ever wanted (or needed, really) to know. Of special interest to information junkies like myself is the FAQs, Guides & Lists section of the site. Read every chalkboard gag EVER. Learn about every computer reference made on the show. Thrill to the lyrics of all the musical numbers performed by The Simpsons. Truly a site with an incredible amount of substance.
Simpsons Channel -- a frequently updated news site. Very well designed, and has all the latest news on your favorite Springfieldinites. Also has an RSS feed for your convenience.
The Simpsons Folder -- I love the pixel pictures of the Simpsons here. Lots of information related to production here, as well as trivia -- did you know that more people know about the Simpsons than the Constitution? God bless America!
Last Exit to Springfield -- wow. This site is amazing. Great design and tons of content. Check it.
Krustylu Studios -- videos, forums, and news.
NoHomers.net -- images, games, news, and more.
